About Me

Stay Beautiful When Busy

Life is a stressful business. There is so much wear and tear on your body and soul that you just need to take care of it! I learned that the hard way. I'm Amy Reese and when I was in the middle of my PhD program, I got engaged. Now I had a wedding to plan on top of all the worries of a dissertation! In the end, I hired a wedding planner to help me manage the stress. I also had a lot of massages, chocolate, and spa days. Staying beautiful and on top of life is just difficult, but it's something I feel very passionately about. It doesn't matter what your style is, as long as you feel good about yourself. That's what beauty is! So I started this blog to help give other women tips and tricks on staying beautiful in their busy lives.

Scalp Micropigmentation Offers A Different Hair Loss Solution

If thinning hair is a problem for you, there are different hair loss treatments that you can try to make your hair look fuller. Scalp micropigmentation has become a popular hair loss treatment in recent years for its ability to create the illusion of having fuller hair. Scalp micropigmentation treatment also produces permanent results, unlike some other hair loss treatments that only offer temporary solutions.

How Scalp Micropigmentation Works

The treatment involves the use of cosmetic tattooing to fill in bald areas on the scalp to make the hair look fuller. The tattoo markings resemble real strands of short hair that can make you look as though you have a hairstyle that's similar to a buzzcut. Scalp micropigmentation can also be good for women and men with long hair who have bald patches on their scalps and want to have these patches filled in to hide the areas of baldness.

Each scalp micropigmentation treatment session takes approximately four to five hours to complete, and the exact time your treatment takes will depend on how much hair loss you have and where the areas of baldness are located on your scalp. Before the tattooing begins, a topical numbing agent may be applied to the skin on your scalp to deaden the pain and make the procedure more comfortable for you. After your first treatment session, you'll likely be asked to return for additional tattooing a few weeks later so that the color can be layered properly to give you the most natural look.

An Effective Solution for Different Causes of Hair Loss

Whether your hair loss is the result of male or female pattern baldness or aging, scalp micropigmentation treatment can be effective for people from different walks of life. Individuals who suffer from alopecia or who've undergone chemotherapy can also benefit from this treatment. If you have a scar from a previous hair transplant or injury, scalp micropigmentation can also work well in covering the scar.

After Your Treatment

You'll likely notice remarkable results after your treatment, but you'll still need to take precautions to avoid irritating the treatment areas and causing additional problems for yourself. You may be advised to avoid washing your hair for a few days after a treatment session to allow more time to heal and for the ink to set in properly. After a few days of a treatment session, you should use lotion or another moisturizing product on the scalp to soothe any remaining irritation and prevent dryness. You'll additionally want to avoid exercising for a few days after treatment.

Obvious baldness can be a thing of the past with the help of scalp micropigmentation treatment. To learn more information about how to treat hair loss. reach out to a company such as Downey Hair Loss Solutions.
