Stay Beautiful When Busy

About Me

Stay Beautiful When Busy

Life is a stressful business. There is so much wear and tear on your body and soul that you just need to take care of it! I learned that the hard way. I'm Amy Reese and when I was in the middle of my PhD program, I got engaged. Now I had a wedding to plan on top of all the worries of a dissertation! In the end, I hired a wedding planner to help me manage the stress. I also had a lot of massages, chocolate, and spa days. Staying beautiful and on top of life is just difficult, but it's something I feel very passionately about. It doesn't matter what your style is, as long as you feel good about yourself. That's what beauty is! So I started this blog to help give other women tips and tricks on staying beautiful in their busy lives.

3 Effective Ways To Relieve Stress

Dealing with stress can be overwhelming sometimes. Whether it's with your finances or relationships, too much stress is never good. In order to alleviate some of your worries, these steps can be taken.

Maintain a Healthy Diet

One of the best ways to reduce your anxiety levels is to maintain a healthy diet. Caffeinated drinks help you feel more energized, but they can also cause you to crash. Instead of these drinks, rely on water and diluted natural fruit juices.

In terms of food, asparagus is extremely beneficial to eat because it contains folate. Folate helps provide you with a relaxing effect, calming your nerves. There are many recipes that call for asparagus, allowing you to make them taste even better. Blueberries are also great to eat, as they contain high amounts of Vitamin C. This vitamin is extremely helpful in terms of fighting off stress.

Practice Yoga

Being physically active is a really good way to ease your nerves because it helps you take your mind off things. One of the best activities to do physically is yoga. This activity is a Hindu spiritual discipline that involves stretching, breathing control and adopting specific body postures.

Through breathing and body techniques, you can relax your large muscle groups. This helps flush body parts and your brain with oxygen and healthy nutrients. In turn, your stress levels lower, and you help your mind and body connect on the same level. A lot of yoga exercises are not very long, and they can be done from home. In turn, you can alleviate stress from the comfort of your own home.

Go to a Day Spa

Another great way to get rid of some stress is to go to a day spa. Day spas offer a lot of beneficial services. One of the most prevalent is a therapeutic massage. This massage helps work out the kinks and pains in your muscles, which can help your mind relax as well.

A lot of day spas offer ambient lighting and music, providing the perfect environment for you to relax in. Day spas also have saunas and steam baths to help provide a warm, relaxing feeling to your body. Thanks to these spas, your stresses will fade away quickly. For more info on the benefits of visiting a day spa, speak to a health professional.

Being stressed out all of the time is not good both mentally and physically. You can alleviate these stresses, fortunately, when you take the steps above. They help you live a happier, better life overall.
