Stay Beautiful When Busy

About Me

Stay Beautiful When Busy

Life is a stressful business. There is so much wear and tear on your body and soul that you just need to take care of it! I learned that the hard way. I'm Amy Reese and when I was in the middle of my PhD program, I got engaged. Now I had a wedding to plan on top of all the worries of a dissertation! In the end, I hired a wedding planner to help me manage the stress. I also had a lot of massages, chocolate, and spa days. Staying beautiful and on top of life is just difficult, but it's something I feel very passionately about. It doesn't matter what your style is, as long as you feel good about yourself. That's what beauty is! So I started this blog to help give other women tips and tricks on staying beautiful in their busy lives.

Tips For Making Your Lifestyle Blog A Success

If you are a self-described fashionista or if you love all kinds of makeup, then you may want to turn your passion into a job by starting a lifestyle blog -- The Taylor Sauce is a great one to model yourself after. Becoming a lifestyle blogger is challenging and you want your blog to succeed. Before you start drafting your blogs, keep reading to learn about a few tips that will make your lifestyle blog a successful one.

Find A Niche And A Theme

Before you start writing blogs about your favorite brands, you need to understand that a successful blogger is one who can craft articles that other people want to read. Catching a reader's attention means being unique and standing out from the crowd. While coming up with awesome blog post ideas is a must, you need to start by discovering your niche. Your niche is basically who you are catering to. This may be as simple as targeting women on a budget or millennial men who want to dress like professionals. Of course, your niche can be extremely targeted and pinpointed as well. For example, you can target businesswomen and mothers who want to look chic while entering the workforce after maternity leave.

The niche choice is yours, but you do not want it to be too broad or too narrow. A very broad niche will not attract readers and an extremely narrow one will mean that your audience is probably not large enough.

Once you think about and discover your niche, you can create a theme for your blog. Your theme will tie in directly to your niche. A simple tips, inspiring, DIY, or in-depth blog are a few themes. For example, simple tips for helping women look fashionable on a budget. Make sure your blogs tie into both the niche and theme and you can build a following and an audience that knows what to expect from you.

Reach Out To Your Audience

You may start the best lifestyle blog in your niche, but you may not see a lot of traffic if your audience is unable to find your blog. This means that you need to draw in your readers. While search engine optimization can assist with this, you should also advertise new blogs on your Facebook, Twitter, and Linkedin accounts. There are also some other social media sites that you may want to explore. Instagram, Snapchat, Reddit, Tumblr, Youtube, and Pinterest are a few good examples.

You want to update blogs often and also your social media accounts when you complete the updates. If possible, add a pop-up that asks readers to join a mailing list so you can reach them this way. Also, asking readers for their opinions and also answering questions and responding to comments are a few good things you can do to keep readers engaged.
