How To Get Ready For Your Cruise
Have you ever been on a cruise before? Perhaps you're an experienced cruiser and you loved the experience so much that you're an old hat at this wonderful way to travel. Planning for your cruise, whether it's your first or whether you're a repeat customer takes some expertise. From packing the right clothes to getting permanent makeup, here are some ideas that might help you in preparing for a wonderful cruise experience:
Pack The Right Clothes - Pack light, and pack right:
- It might be helpful for you to actually write down the days you'll be gone and to write down the events that will take place that day.
- For example, you might already know that you'll be going to the port on a certain day and that you'll be going to the beach. For that day, pack a swim suit, a cover up and a towel. Oh, and don't forget comfortable sandals that are water safe.
- Pack clothes that can be interchanged. For instance, if you take a basic pair of black pants and a basic pair of black capris, lots of different tops can be worn with them to create a casual look or an elegant look.
Make Things Easy - Of course, days at sea will be relaxing ones. However, on days you pull into port for excursions, you may sometimes feel rushed. There are things you can do ahead of time to simplify your life while on the cruise:
- Consider getting permanent makeup. If you get permanent eyeliner and if you get microblading for your eyebrows, you'll be glad you did. For times that you want to look extra fancy, you can still add eyeshadow and mascara for a more dramatic look.
- If you do consider getting permanent makeup, do so at least a few weeks before you go on your cruise. It takes awhile for the process to heal. In addition, you'll be needing to give your skin special attention that will more easily be done at home.
- Think about getting a wig or several of them, too. For example, you could get a short one for days that you want to look carefree and you could get a long, sleek one for days that you want to look elegant, putting your wig into a french twist, or adding a clip to make it extra fancy.
Don't forget to keep your medications and other essential with you, just in case your luggage is lost.
